This young British actor was educated in his home town of Hong Kong, the UK, the Philippines and the US. Jason took his first drama class at a private boarding school in rural England at the age of nine. However, shyness kept him out of school drama productions and it wasn't until the age of 18 while living in Asia, and ready to return to the UK to study law at university, that he verbalized his dream to become an actor. Jason moved to Los Angeles to study acting and has since worked in the mainstream in national commercials for Sega, Zima, Coke, Levi's and Surge and TV shows such as Nash Bridges, The Division, The Huntress and The King Of Queens. But, he is most excited to work in independent films such as Yellow and now Better Luck Tomorrow where he gets the opportunity to experiment, stretch and immerse himself in roles that are rarely open to actors of his mixed ethnicity. Jason believes that his mixed parentage (British and Chinese) and having lived and studied in such culturally diverse places as Hong Kong, England, the Philippines and the US, has given him a unique perspective to his acting. How did he get over his fear of performing? "I didn't." he says. |
